We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help us out in our necessary work here at Combined Churches Caring Melton. You can volunteer across our foodbank or Op Shop - you could even do both if you wanted!

Volunteer Tasks
Our volunteers are the backbone of our operations at CCCM.
When working in the foodbank, you might:
- Help shop and pack orders for our clients
- Interview clients, providing a caring and empathetic ear to find out what circumstances have brought them to the foodbank.
- Stock our shelves - this includes moving stock from our stockroom to the shelves, helping organise and sort donations.
- Admin - including helping our admin team to get paperwork sorted, answer emails or calling clients to check-in.
- Many other tasks, including marketing or technology to help us achieve our digital transformation goals.
When working in our Op Shop, you might:
- Process sales and payments using a cash register and EFTPOS terminal
- Sort donations and get them onto the shelves and racks
- Making sure our Op Shop is clean for our customers, including dusting and vacuuming etc.
Volunteer Opportunities
If you would like to volunteer with us, please drop in and have a chat! We have a variety of volunteer opportunities that might suit you, and there is a great friendly team to work alongside. We can also offer remote volunteer opportunities for some roles, just ask!
We also appreciate if you have any connections with local businesses that may be open to donating to the foodbank with goods and/or services or helping us spread the word around our services.
